Since 1993, the CHUMBA name has been synonymous with world-class performance, craftsmanship, and design. CHUMBA reflects the integrity and passion for frame building and design. We are dedicated to delivering the highest quality bicycles in the world.
What makes a CHUMBA bicycle the highest-quality, best-performing bicycle in the world? Many companies boast about their 3-D modeling capabilities and FEA analysis. Sure, we have and use all those things too - but we have some of the most passionate, talented, dedicated cyclists in the industry working to make you the best bicycle possible and provide an unparalleled customer service experience.
We truly believe that the only way to properly design a bicycle is with a full in-house fabrication facility. Rather than outsource our prototyping process - where much information and communication is lost - by having our engineering and fabrication linked together during the design phase - we make sure we have riders with decades of experience designing your frame. CNC machines, welding tables, lathes, and a host of other equipment are all at our disposal in our Anaheim factory - and we make liberal use of them to put our "3-D" ideas into physical models.
Despite small companies often being overshadowed by larger ones. Chumba savors its role as a small company among the Goliaths of the mountain biking industry. It is the pressure of having to prove oneself against the competition again and again that drives innovation. Our results prove that bigger is not always better.
Chumba has sponsored many riders including:
* Lars Tribus - 2008 Masters World Championship Silver Medalist, 2003 Masters World Champion
* Lisa Sher 2002 NORBA National DH Champion
* Duncan Riffle - 2004 NORBA National DH Champion
* Pistol Pete Loncarevich - 1999 Worlds Master DH Champion, 1998 World Cup Dual 1st Place, most wins out of any BMX racer in history
* Shaums March - 2003 Redbull Rampage 4th place, 2004 Redbull Bike Battle 3rd place
* Jake Payne - 2008 NORBA Junior X 3rd Overall
The racing legacy of CHUMBA is poured into every frame that we produce today. You can be assured that every aspect of your frame, from the geometry, materials, to the suspension designs, was designed with the feedback gained from the race program. Every CHUMBA you see is a result of our decade long process of developing, innovating, and achieving.
